Associate Game Designer

This is a US based -Remote position. No phone calls or emails from external recruiters or recruiting agencies.

Illumix is an integrated gaming and technology company, transforming the future of mixed reality with environmentally-intelligent, world-scale AR games.

We are looking for a game designer who is passionate about playing and making high quality games, who is responsive and responsible, is equally comfortable taking initiative and working as a part of a team, and possesses a keen eye for when to push creative boundaries and when to leverage conventional solutions.

This role requires a designer who is at home working in both system and content design as needed by the project. The ability to think outside the box while still keeping in mind - and if possible taking advantage of - technical constraints and schedule realities is critical.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Interfacing with the Content Management System for Five Nights at Freddy's AR: Special Delivery mobile game
• Assist in gameplay design and implementation of FNAF animatronic abilities ensuring optimal user experience
• Ability to review and edit existing and upcoming design documents
• Experience working with multiple team disciplines to meet design development requirements
• Participate in collaborating and developing ideas for content and gameplay

REQUIREMENTS

• 1 year of professional experience at a game studio or professional experience working with spreadsheets or reporting (Google Sheets of MS Excel)
• Attention to Detail
• Good communication skills
• Able to write and edit Design Specs

PLUSES

• Tool writing, Google Script, JS, or equivalent coding experience
• Breadth of Game Design Experience (exposure or interest in many aspects of Game Design)
• Depth in one aspect of Game Design (Systems, meta progression, mechanics, UI, etc)
• UI/UX Wire-framing experience
