Your Mission

Toy for Bob is looking for a passionate Junior Software Engineer to join our talented team in creating the next generation of award-winning games for console.

Job duties include:

• Develop, modify, and debug gameplay and related engine C/C++ code

• Develop, modify, and debug gameplay code in a scripting language

• Deploys and tests software on PC and 360/PS3/Xbox One/PS4 console platforms

• Document software and features for internal and external engineering teams

• Collaborate with other internal departments (art, design, audio, animation, QA, etc)

• Participates in the design and code review process

• Reports to Gameplay Lead Engineer

Player Profile

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field

• Experience developing software systems for personal or class projects

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming

• Solid math background

• Creative, motivated, focused, passionate, results-oriented

• Good communicator that enjoys collaboration with other programmers

• Passion for games

Extra Points

Aptitude for game and system design

• Experience with game development

• Demonstrated ability to write clean, readable, portable, and reliable code

• A threshold of coursework in Computer Science, Math and Engineering

• Strong C/C++ experience

• Experience with scripting languages like Python, C#, Perl, ActionScript, JavaScript or Lua

• Proficiency working with a debugger
