Your Mission
Representing the Activision Blizzard Group (Activision, Blizzard and King), you will help advance and develop the group’s policy positions and reputation through internal collaboration, strategic initiatives, coalition building, trade body engagement, direct advocacy and broader stakeholder relationships.
- You will be part of a small and nimble team based in the group legal department and will also work closely with the Legal, Communications and Diversity & Inclusion teams, as well as lead executives in key markets.
- You will provide broad public policy advice, with a strong focus on the European region, contributing to campaigns across the full range of issues that impact our business directly, our online ecosystem and the games industry.
- Tasks will include advising the business on a range of issues, drafting and coordinating consultation responses, representing the group at industry meetings, helping to manage outside consultants and trade bodies. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to manage national activity across a number of major European markets.
- Through the role you will build and inform a network of stakeholder contacts: platforms, developers, trade bodies, various government officials, regulators, academic institutions and official bodies. You will also help to manage our policy CSR initiatives in core areas such as digital skills
Player Profile
Minimum Requirements:
- Extensive relevant experience and an expertise in government relations.
- Knowledge of the policy issues around the games industry or consumer internet.
- Commercial nous: clarity on the role that public policy plays in strengthening and protecting the broader group and the ability to communicate the relevance of public policy work to the business.
- Strong communication skills: ability to quickly produce and communicate relevance of key issues, effectively briefing executives internally when needed.
- Strong team working and project management skills including the ability to work concurrently on a variety of projects.
Extra Points:
- Experience working with national or EU governmental entities and an understanding of one or several international political environments.
- Fluency in French or German helpful.
- Being collaborative, proactive, commercial, creative and of course, passionate about games.
