Your Mission
As the Associate Director of Digital Marketing, you will be the driving force behind our Call of Duty digital marketing strategy, creative development, and activations across a multitude of online platforms.
The position requires experience developing and implementing a strategic go-to-market approach on social/digital platforms. Additionally, it will serve as a strategic partner to internal teams including partnerships, paid media, and web marketing. This position is the link between Product Management, Consumer Marketing, Media, CRM, our global offices, agencies, development studios and many other internal partners. The role will also have a thought leadership position inside the organization as it relates to our overall approach to Call of Duty social strategy, community engagement, creative content marketing, etc.
In addition to knowledge of and passion for Call of Duty, the ideal candidate will be an expert in digital marketing, knowledgeable about the gaming space, and a proactive self-starter who is constantly looking to open up the boundaries with innovative and fresh ideas.
Responsibilities:
- Lead digital/social go-to-market strategy and execution for Call of Duty console and PC titles across various social platforms including, but not limited to: Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, and Reddit
- Bring new and big ideas to the table, and collaboratively build on others’ concepts to deliver game engagement, build brand passion, and drive premium sales.
- Partner with our internal digital marketing team of marketing managers, community strategists, community managers, publishing managers, and analysts. As well as leading projects with our internal marketing creative team and our external social/digital agency team(s).
- Collaborate with web product team, including web designers and developers, to update the Call of Duty website
- Support weekly, quarterly, and annual critical metric reviews with a focus on overall campaign goals, optimization, and growing our investment in experimentation and learnings.
- Collaborate with digital teams internationally, assuring they are on board with global plans and are implementing local campaigns on strategy
- Work effectively with internal cross-functional teams including Product Management, Consumer Marketing, PR, Editorial, Media, CRM, Events, Studios and Partnerships to drive 360 campaigns.
- Work with external brand partners, developing and carrying out co-branded campaigns
- Guide the global Call of Duty social editorial calendar using Opal, aligning with key partners across the organization to build the optimal communications plan
Player Profile
- 7+ years experience in social media - agency (or client-side equivalent) as a Digital/Social Strategist or Marketer. This includes experience strategizing, producing, and implementing sophisticated campaigns
- Experience communicating marketing plans to senior leaders and collaborating within a large organization; coordinating work with internal & external resources and in-partnership with multiple departments
- Proficiency in leading or working alongside Paid Media campaigns
- Production experience working on video shoots for social content, post-production and live events
- Familiarity with the gaming industry and overall passion for gaming
- Experience working with 3rd Party agencies/partners
- Appetite for all things digital and social. Is up to date on the latest platforms and technologies and desire to find opportunities for strategic brand involvement
- Understanding of brand strategy and ability to write strategic marketing briefs and persuasive POVs
- Proven understanding of social platforms and tools such as – Sprinklr, Opal, CreatorIQ, as well as each platform’s native analytics tools, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or marketing
