CCP London is currently growing our team! We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Development Manager to come join us working on an unannounced online multiplayer shooter. We are looking for an individual with strong project management skills, to join a highly motivated team of programmers, artists, designers, and QA working to build a varied and unique user experience for the game.
We are a small team in the early stages of development, so this is a unique opportunity to have a large impact. Reporting to the Director of Development, you will be responsible for all aspects of project planning both internal and external. This is a highly visible position inside of the company, and you will be a key member of the production team for the project.
As Associate Development Manager, you will use your technical and management experience to assist your Scrum team to deliver in all areas of the development process. You will have experience in best practices for project management processes. You will be a collaborative member of a development team.
Tasks:
- Working with the Development Director, assist in project management by identifying dependencies and forecasting budget and resource needs for your Scrum team
- Collaborate with a cross-discipline Scrum team to create clear plans and help scope the project
- Drive your Scrum team to deliver on-time & on-budget results at defined quality
- Maintain clear documentation on sprint goals
- Track and communicate project status
- Work with QA and design to prioritize bug fixes and tuning
- Identify and mitigate risks early and communicate them clearly
- Manage end of sprint reporting and contribute to process improvement
- Ensure all team members have the resources they need and resolve bottlenecks before they arise
- Own several aspects of external production. Budget, contract, and pay vendors and external partners. Ensure that vendors, as well as our partners at CCP Reykjavik, submit deliverables on time
Your Profile:- Experience in game production, PC and console preferred.
- Experience in managing software development. Knowledge of game development a bonus: team dynamics, common development hurdles, game engines and technology, development milestone definitions, production process and methodology, outsourcing and co-development scheduling
- Experience using Jira and Confluence
- Ability to create schedules, monitor, and update progress
- Are well organised
- Experience working in an Agile development environment, specifically with SCRUM teams
- Outsourcing experience a bonus
