Associate Desktop Support Technician (Contract)

The Associate Desktop Support Technician provides technical assistance within the Studio IT Support, team including the installation, upgrade and troubleshooting of all hardware and software systems.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Follow specific technical procedures including imaging, drive mapping, software installations, hardware upgrades, etc.
- Install monitors, docking stations, and various external peripherals
- Manage assets and inventory, including receiving and entering assets into an asset management system
- Call in hardware repairs and work with external vendors to solve technical issues and bissue RMAs for computing hardware in need of repair.
- Provide assistance to other on-site IT personnel to achieve common goals
- Respond to service requests via the help desk ticketing system, telephone calls, email, and internal customer requests for technical support
Knowledge/Skills/Experience: Required
- Friendly, customer-first attitude with willingness or eagerness to assist others
- Must have at least 0-2 years of experience in IT with demonstrated experience in customer support
- Basic to intermediate computer knowledge with the willingness to learn
- Clear verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users easily
- Responsible, reliable, and trustworthy
- Ability to work non-standard hours as needed
- Strong work ethic with good time management and the ability to work with geographically diverse teams
- Eagerness to learn and takes initiative in self-improvement and growth (training, utilizing down-time, self-motivated)
- Must be able to lift 40lbs (~13.5kg)
