Associate Community Manager – New Sci-Fi FPS IP

Creative Assembly’s award-winning team behind Alien: Isolation are exploring new frontiers with a brand-new and exciting Sci-Fi First-Person Shooter IP. This is an excellent opportunity for an Associate Community Manager to join our team at our studio based in Horsham, West Sussex.
We’re looking for someone who has an insatiable appetite for all things community and First-Person Shooters. With transferable skills, a can-do attitude, and a drive to learn are more important for this role than practical experience.
For this role, you will be a creative thinker with excellent communication skills and a good knowledge of social & community platforms and the latest trends in both gaming and mainstream culture.
Key Responsibilities
This role will be reporting into the Senior Community Manager. You will be a video games enthusiast (particularly multiplayer shooters) and have an awareness of industry news and updates. Being a confident on streams is a huge plus too.
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
- Be the part of a dynamic team responsible for being the bridge between the game and the players
- Help grow a brand-new community into an inclusive and positive environment. Help to identify and devise social opportunities to help elevate the brand and product on an ongoing basis, by quickly reacting to global news stories, pop cultural happenings and industry affairs
- Create and support the execution of all community activities and social initiatives surrounding your project
- Plan & execute activities such as online and offline events, content sharing (images & videos), polls, blogs, competitions, and all other activity
- Staying up to date of industry news and developments via community and social platforms (including Twitter, Discord, Twitch, Reddit, and Facebook)
- Analyse and communicate community growth and engagement, creating and presenting regular reports that address, KPIs, key learnings and relevant insights, and offer informed recommendations for future improvement
- Create high quality copy for the various platforms we will be using, ensuring that the content is suitable, engaging, and informative.
- Work alongside the marketing, product, and production stakeholders to effectively communicate to the varying channels our community occupies
- Coordinate with customer support to escalate and communicate player facing issues
This opportunity would suit someone who creates their own content for existing FPS games or has great idea on how online gaming communities should be run. Knowledge, Skill and Experience
Essential
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly self-motivated and proactive with ability to work both with minimal supervision and as part of a team environment
- Familiarity with popular community and social media platforms
- Desire to learn and pursue a career in community and social media management
- Interest in the gaming industry in general
- Strong organisational and time management skills to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to keep a level head and maintain calm under pressure
Desirable
- Passion and knowledge of current multiplayer FPS games
- Confident in presenting ideas and games both internally and externally, able to be the ‘host’ of a party
- Knowledge of CRM and CS software is desirable but not essential
