Job Description:

We Want You

A new world and a new journey await you. It is a world different from any other Blizzard has built.

If you’re a passionate game developer, and, well, a good human being, then we’d love to talk to you. We have a new AAA survival game in the works, set in a new IP for PC/Console. It’s going to be amazing, and we want you along for the ride. Together, we’ll build something big, bold, and breathtaking.

Our team is looking for an Associate Art Director for Concept Art.

In this role, your goal is to ensure that all our initiatives in Concept Art are owned, supported, managed, and executed by the right people at the right time. You will know the craft and team equally well, but your focus will be on getting things done through others, not doing it all yourself.

Concept Art is at the start of everything we do, and it needs to run efficiently. Your job will be varied and exciting, and you must not just accept, but thrive in ambiguity. You are the one to deliver clarity to everyone around you. Adapting to any situation, you will act as a visionary, a driver, a contributor, a diplomat, a negotiator, an evangelist, or whatever other role you need to take on, to get the job done.

You will work closely with the Concept Team and all their various clients, from Character Modelers and World Builders to our Creative Director and Senior Art Director. In all of this, you will help create and direct art that is both beautiful and consistent with the handcrafted art styles that our games are known for.

This is a full-time position that requires hands-on art direction and an ability to very quickly figure out how to prioritize all the requests that will come your way daily. We are searching for the type of experienced artist who can give precise and constructive visual input, as well as implement feedback to direct external artists and guide them to successful results.

You have a passion for games, all games, but also all other forms of creative expression. And you understand and live for how great concept art will enhance the player experience. We’re building a new IP, and its concept art initiatives must represent all the qualities of a Blizzard game.

This role will be responsible for the delivery of all concept art in the game, making sure it is all delivered on time and on quality.
