Associate Analyst

As an Associate Analyst on Destiny, you will support various analysis projects and resources with targeted audiences and analytics using data from various sources. You will report to the Sr. Manager of Destiny Analytics, and partner with Analysts, Player Support, Marketing, and User Research to empower the studio with the data they need to deliver curated player experiences and messaging. This position is a great opportunity for somebody early in career to join a team of experienced analysts, and to collaborate on innovative solutions.
With the uncertainty and rapidly changing circumstances surrounding COVID-19, most positions at Bungie are expected to onboard and work from home for a significant portion of 2021. In 2022, most Bungie employees will adopt a flexible schedule working from home part time (outside of positions identified as either 100% onsite or fully remote in CA, IL, NC, TX, and WA). Currently only a select range of positions are available for full-time remote work in CA, IL, NC, TX, and WA (please review location for details). Prospective employees located outside of CA, IL, NC, TX, and WA will need to establish WA state residency within 45 days of a start date. Bungie’s work from home, flexible work schedule, and remote policy is subject to change at the company’s discretion.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and improve our process of audience creation in and out of our data warehouse
- Transform player data into functional inputs for marketing and game operations.
- Validate and maintain dashboards to monitor and evaluate our games and their features
- Partner with Analysts and Product Managers to execute ad-hoc analysis to inform decisions
- Represent the needs of our customers and partner teams to champion their use of data
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Intermediate SQL skills
- Hands on learning of relevant experience
- The ability to efficiently communicate results through data
- High bias for delivery and hitting project timelines
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and polish
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
- Experience building data visualizations in front-end reporting tools (Tableau preferred)
- Advanced SQL skills
- Knowledge of basic statistics (summary statistics, distribution analysis, and significance testing)
- Experience working in a collaborative professional environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Math, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field
- Software testing experience
- A love of games (Bonus points for Action-MMO experience like Destiny)
