Hunt A Killer is now working on additional ways to distribute its mystery game content including licensing and digital.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Associate Accountant, you will work cross-functionally with sales, production, purchasing, and customer service, this role is responsible for the transactional processing, accounting, reporting, reconciliation and overall financial control, with a focus on inventory and related cost of goods sold.
This is a newly created position reporting to the CFO.
You will be responsible for review and analysis of inventory and variances affecting the balance sheet and P&L.
You will also be a key player on the Accounting team, assisting with month-end closing and account reconciliations, audit, and any ad hoc projects as needed. As a result, we are looking for a system savvy and detail-oriented person! This is a great role for someone who is looking to continue their growth in an accounting career.
YOU'RE THRILLED ABOUT THIS ROLE BECAUSE YOU WILL
- Monitor, research and analyze inventory movement throughout the supply chain.
- Assist in the improvement in internal controls related to inventory to reduce variances.
- Monthly reconciliation of perpetual inventory to general ledger.
- Monitor creation of bills of material, purchase orders and other material and production related activities for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Work closely with purchasing, production and warehouse teams to ensure that inventory transaction flows are efficient, timely and consistently with company procedures.
- Willing and able to assist with other accounting tasks as needed, including revenue, deferred revenue, accounts receivable, etc.
- Participate in the ongoing execution of an inventory cycle counting program.
- Participate in the setup, observation, reconciliation and reporting of full physical inventories as needed.

- Minimum of 2 years’ experience of accounting experience and 1 year as an Inventory or Cost Accountant in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Quickbooks Enterprise or more advanced systems.
- ShipStation experience a plus.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis.
- Solid understanding of GAAP concepts relating to inventory, revenue and cost of sales.
- Ability to work independently with the ability to resolve inconsistencies and problems and deliver results with a limited amount of supervision.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills, detail-oriented.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate ideas and issues to both finance and operations personnel.
- Self-starter with ability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
