Assistant Video Editor

Duration: Full time, Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm
As an Assistant Video Editor, you will work alongside a creative team of artists to ensure our marketing content is delivered at the highest quality and competed on a world class level. The Assistant Editor will be responsible for supporting the Editorial team with direction from the Lead Editor or Creative Director.
Key Criteria:
Minimum 2 years’ experience with editing a variety of successful projects.Motion graphics experience.Strong ability to multi-task and work within deadlines.Listen and filter information, reach conclusions and take appropriate actions in support of project execution.Requirements
Assistant Video Editor also needs:
Experience of a similar role within a dynamic commercial environment.o A passion for storytelling and an understanding of post-production pipelines.
Strong written & verbal Communication Skillso Great attention to detail.
o Excellent interpersonal skills.
o An open & honest proactive approach to communication.
o Ability to communicate to people at all levels, both internally & externally.
o Strong Listening Skills.
Extensive Problem Solving Skillso Sets clear priorities to optimally complete work tasks.
o Able to work to designated deadlines & communicates progress with clarity.
o A motivated self-starter with a desire to contribute & shape the business.
Collaborative Outlooko Takes a team rather than an individual approach to their work.
o Stays committed to the team & business ethic; maintains a positive outlook in everything they do.
Technical skillso Proficient in all Adobe products with a focus on Premier, After Effects and Photoshop.
o Basic knowledge of video codecs, file formats, frame rates, compression and resolutions.
o Basic understanding of computer operations, setup and maintenance.
o Production knowledge and experience including camera operation, audio recording, lighting etc. is a plus.
