As an Assistant Sound Editor within Riot Entertainment , you will assist in defining, maintaining and executing processes and pipelines for sound designers / editors, composers and our dialog / voiceover crews, allowing them to stay laser-focused on creative execution.
For this role, you'll find success through craft knowledge, a collaborative spirit, and choices that focus on your fellow Rioters, who are the customers of your work. This position is solely focused on work within the linear media space, and is not involved in game development. Being a dedicated fan of games is not necessary for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Receive AAF and related assets from the picture department and create corresponding Pro Tools sessions and guide stem assets
- Preparation and delivery of Pro Tools edit sessions for final mixes
- Assist in the preparation of materials for production and post-production dialog and ADR recordings
- Assisting in field recording and in-house studio records
- Preparing video assets for use by sound designers, editors, composers, foley and mix crews
- Maintain project sound and music libraries, assets and documentation, including tagging, archiving, and relevant guide creation
- Responsible for maintaining sound designers’ and composers’ hardware, and software, facilitating repairs or upgrades when necessary
- Facilitate the setup and onboarding of new sound, music and voiceover vendors / contractors
- Maintaining calendars and schedules for sound and music department rituals as well as recording, foley and mix sessions
- Assist sound, music and voiceover department leads, along with finance partners in the tracking of sound and music invoices
- Receive sound editorial and design mentorship from designers, editors and supervisors in the interest of growing your craft abilities.
Required Qualifications:
- BA / BS in audio production or relevant work experience
- 1 - 3 years of experience working in sound for film, television or other linear media
- Strong working knowledge of AVID Pro Tools
- Knowledge of audio production basics, including :
- Audio signal flow
- Microphones, studio and field recording techniques
- A firm grasp of audio production fundamentals
- Use of DAWs (digital audio workstations) and DSP (digital signal processing) plugins and software
- Proper studio etiquette
- A short demo reel showcasing linear editorial and/or sound design work.

Desired Qualifications:
- A passion for the League of Legends universe
- Experience with professional sound librarying workflows, including managing Soundminer v5 Pro databases
- Experience working with non-linear video editing software such as Adobe Premiere
- Working knowledge of standard video encoding workflows
