Job Summary:
Square Enix Germany is looking for a creative minded marketer to join the Marketing team based in Hamburg.
In this role you will be working across all titles of our portfolio within the local marketing team, contributing to regional marketing and media strategies, owning campaign elements and supporting the German marketing teams for delivering a best-in-class campaign for our upcoming titles for the marketing in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The position calls for someone with experience in marketing campaign planning & execution, media briefing and planning, delivery of marketing assets in both a physical & digital landscape, excellent communication skills and relationship management with stakeholders in Europe.
Requirements
Key Deliverables:
Consumer understanding: Deep understanding in market, category, retail and consumer dynamics in the three markets. Excellent understanding of the gaming and/or entertainment fans. Keep up to date with the latest marketing and industry trends relevant to job role.
Campaign excellence: Work with the local Marking Managers to develop, build and execute a best-in-class marketing campaign. Ensure marketing activities are consistent with Global and European marketing strategy for the game.
Work with local Marketing Manager to devise KPI’s that can be used to monitor pre-launch, launch and post-launch campaigns to ensure the project is on track to deliver business goals. Track performance vs KPIs
Organise regular market check-ins and updates, to drive campaign adjustment and results.
Demonstrate an understanding on-trend digital ad formats and platforms.
Strong communicator: Write and deliver high impact presentations, briefs and reports. Attend and present at global internal, trade and consumer events.
Own the budget: Plan and forecast activities, ensuring costs are fully and accurately tracked on a weekly basis.
Data analysis: ability to gather, analyse and interpret data. Make recommendations based on data driven insights.
Stakeholder management: Work effectively with internal and external partners:
- EU Marketing Team
- Cooperation partners
- Distributor Sales Teams:
- Support and motivate the Distributor Sales Teams, champion the product, and create materials to allow Sales Teams to sell the product externally.
- Work with Trade Marketing to deliver coordinated trade marketing plans by channel to reach and exceed targets.
- Where required, support Sales/Trade Team with presentation creation and delivery to partners.
- GER/AT/CH PR and Social Team to deliver effective, innovative, and integrated PR and Social plans that stay within budget. Work closely with PR Team in management of PR agencies.
- Internal Project Teams so that there is a steady two-way flow of communication, with particular emphasis on ensuring territory needs for core creative and promotional materials are represented and met.

Knowledge & Experience:
Essential:
- Proven experience of marketing and media planning and executing game, relevant entertainment, or technology marketing campaigns
- Had a previous role requiring strong organisational skills and an ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience of working across multi-disciplinary departments and international markets
- Experienced in communicating with and presenting to a diverse number of international stakeholders.
- Demonstrable experience of the full marketing mix with additional focus on performance marketing, new media opportunities and influencer integration.
- Good industry knowledge across company and competitor titles and strategies.
- Passionate about the entertainment & gaming industry.
- Able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- 2-3 years previous experience in marketing or in the games industry role.
Desirable:
- Degree level of qualification or equivalent.
- Understanding of Japanese video games and the Japanese video games market and the global video games market.

- Interest in leading projects and initiatives.
- Experience with PowerPoint and Photoshop.
- Good and confident presenter in-person and remotely.
- Ability to speak other languages (French, Japanese).
