Job Summary:
Square Enix is on the lookout for a passionate, responsible, and motivated person to support the Strategic Marketing team for FINAL FANTASY XIV Online.
The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, agile interdisciplinary team, whilst working with multiple international stakeholders, have excellent knowledge of current gaming trends, and be an integral part of delivering success of FINAL FANTASY XIV Online.
The Assistant Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting in planning and executing high-level marketing programs to drive user acquisition, winback and retention, and to keep a player-focused mindset on all activities created.

Requirements
Key Deliverables:
- Build and execute effective campaigns in coordination with the Senior Marketing Manager and Marketing Manager.
- Manage innovative marketing campaigns that engage with players, build excitement and anticipation ahead of game updates and, ultimately, grow the playerbase with an “always-on” mindset.
- Champion the product both internally and externally – be the advocate and knowledge base for FINAL FANTASY XIV Online. Research competitors and understand industry trends.
- Work with external creative agencies and internal creative studios to deliver promotional campaign asset suites to desired standard and quality, with timely dissemination of assets to key internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage internal approval and localisation processes with stakeholders in Japan, North America, and Europe.
- Brief and capture video content from the game to support marketing asset requirements.
- Support the CRM and Strategic Marketing teams in managing email campaigns and in expanding automated CRM campaigns based on machine learning.
- Support operational and sales teams to ensure that they have the necessary assets for their publishing requirements (metadata, icons, pricing information etc).
- Assist with data capture and analysis for business reporting.
- Assist with asset management folders and systems.
- Support Senior Marketing Manager and Marketing Manager with ad hoc requests as and where required.

Executive Director SEE Marketing, Western Strategic Lead, Senior Marketing Manager, Marketing Manager. Territory Marketing teams, PR Team, Square Enix In-House Creative Studio, Analytics team, Community teams.
Knowledge & Experience:
Essential:
- Extensive gameplay experience with FINAL FANTASY XIV Online and a passion for the product.
- Proven experience of marketing management within gaming or entertainment-based industry.
- A keen gamer with a strong understanding of players’ expectations to create the best and most relevant campaigns.
- Strong project management capability.
- Experience of working to KPI’s with a results-driven mindset.
- Prior experience and knowledge of the different requirements for international markets and of delivering to different local territory needs.
- Experienced in delivering innovative promotional activities, with an active and evolving knowledge of promotional opportunities, technology, and trends.
Desirable:
- Degree level of education or equivalent, and/or CIM qualification.
- Knowledge of competitor MMO titles and online games.

Desirable:
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Basic Photoshop and/or video editing skills.
Other:
- Willing to travel and work away from home.
- Valid passport to enable international travel, where necessary.
- Keen interest in and knowledge of video games.
- Additional languages a plus, but not compulsory.
