Position Overview
Blizzard Entertainment seeks a talented individual who is responsible for leading community management for World of Warcraft franchise and unannounced mobile projects. We are looking for an experienced manager with proven experience in community management and social media engagement.
The ideal candidate is an individual with in-depth game playing experience and understanding of the game industry and its community.
The person needs to be creative, self-motivated and proactive and should be able to set best community strategies and communicate well with both HQ and local stakeholders for all the projects.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the planning and execution of community programs and content for World of Warcraft in Korea and unannounced mobile projects.
- Inform and engage Korean players through forums, social media channels, streams and other venues.
- Support communication plans and channel management in Korea
- Plan YouTube content that can increase player engagement in line with in-game content beat and promotion.
- Evaluate and analyze stream campaign and YouTube content and seek effective ways to drive improvement.
- Develop effective plans, programs, and strategies to increase reach of communication and community engagement
- Provide meaningful feedback on the community’s sentiment, concerns, and suggestions to ensure optimal engagement, community impact, and enhanced company/franchise reputation.
- Develop reports on community activities and pulse/voice of the community.
- Build relationships with community partners such as fan sites, influencers, and external key community managers to promote our communication efforts
- Build strong relationships within the team, HQ community, and the stakeholders within the company and the industry.
- Collaborate with other teams/departments to develop and execute the company’s Integrated Marketing Communication plan.
Minimum Requirements
Experience
- 3+ years’ experience in community management, social media, public relations (PR), digital marketing or other public communication-related field

Knowledge & Skills
- Strong working knowledge of World of Warcraft and other popular PC and mobile games in Korea.
- High-level understanding of social media platforms, particularly for YouTube.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; can clearly present ideas in communications.
- Business level of English skill.
- Comfortable with MS Office and Adobe Photoshop.

- Familiarity with gaming culture, streaming and World of Warcraft/Blizzard .games required.
- An exceptional insight of social media trends and gaming community and its behavior.

Experience
- Previous experience in game industry.
- Previous experience in an mobile game operation/management, digital marketing or content related position.
- Experience of producing video content as a planner or producer.
