Assistant Community Manager

We're Studio Wildcard, developers of the smash indie hit ARK: Survival Evolved -- one of the most popular and original video games in recent years. Despite our massive success, we've been able to stay independent, so that we can steer our own future in games and beyond. There's never been a better time for you to join this adventure and help us build ARK II, the next chapter of our original hit franchise! We're expanding and updating many of the ARK community's most beloved features while taking full advantage of the latest tools and technologies. And now we're searching for an exceptionally talented and passionate Assistant Community Manager who can create high-impact work for the expanding ARK franchise.

Responsibilities:

  • Curate content from the ARK community (images, videos, etc) for all social media and professional accounts
  • Engage with ARK fans, friends, and familiar faces on a daily basis
  • Monitor sentiment to foster a safe, fun, and welcoming community
  • Collaborate with the Lead Community Manager to facilitate communications between our players and developers
  • Track and report on feedback and online reviews
  • Attend networking events or relevant industry workshops
  • Build relationships with customers, industry professionals and journalists
  • Stay up-to-date with digital technology and marketing trends
  • Organize and manage events to boost brand awareness

Requirements:

  • A passion for video games and the people who play them
  • Genuine enthusiasm for community management
  • Knowledge of voice, tone, and other buzzwords for how to speak with our fans
  • Creative and engaging ways to interact with our target demographic in positive ways
  • Self-direction and the ability to work autonomously as well as with a team
  • Excellent verbal communication, writing, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented problem-solving ability

Pluses:

  • Experience with social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube and Twitch
  • Proven work experience as a community manager or similar role
  • Experience planning and leading community initiatives
  • Knowledge of online marketing
