Ta mission

En tant qu’Artiste technique, tu auras à travailler étroitement avec l’équipe artistique et contribueras à diagnostiquer, suggérer et implanter des solutions par rapport au contenu créé. Tu auras à travailler sur les performances et la mémoire tout en t’assurant de préserver une expérience exemplaire au joueur.

Pour bien performer dans le cadre de ce poste, tu devras être autonome, organisé(e), proactif(ve) et créatif(ve) pour trouver des solutions. Une de tes premières responsabilités sera de te familiariser au pipeline et aux outils déjà en place. La collaboration avec les différents départements sera la clé de ton succès. De plus, tu auras un impact significatif sur l’ensemble de l’équipe artistique et sur le produit mobile.

Pour te plaire dans ce rôle, tu dois voir les contraintes techniques comme des opportunités d’apprendre.

Tes objectifs

  • Évaluer les technologies disponibles et travailler de pair avec les artistes pour tirer le maximum de celles-ci;
  • S’assurer que les éléments du jeu respect les spécifications des différentes consoles et appareils mobiles;
  • Agir comme pont entre les différents départements du studio;
  • Contribuer à l’amélioration du pipeline à travers le projet;
  • Travailler avec les programmeurs pour permettre le bon fonctionnement des technologies;
  • Être proactif afin de résoudre des problèmes techniques tels que des problèmes de
    performance relatifs aux consoles, aux appareils mobiles ou au pipeline de création;

  • Déceler les bugs techniques et en faire part à l’équipe appropriée.

Profil du (de la) joueur (se)

  • Est en mesure de présenter un portfolio exceptionnel qui démontre
    une maîtrise d’éléments techniques;

  • Est au fait des nouveautés artistiques et se fait un devoir de les
    essayer;

  • Fait preuve d’adaptabilité et s’arrime avec tout genre d’outil de
    développement;

  • Est aussi habitué à travailler avec un engin de jeu;
  • Démontre une passion pour aider ses collègues à atteindre les résultats;
  • Sait comment organiser son temps et approche ses
    collègues de façon proactive pour identifier les problèmes à régler;

  • Est motivé(e) par l’apprentissage de nouveaux outils internes et ne
    se décourage pas devant le changement régulier;

  • Est capable de voir au-delà des frontières afin d’y trouver les
    anomalies pour y apporter les corrections respectives;

  • Atout: Détiens au moins (1) an d’expérience dans un studio du jeu vidéo ou tout
    autre équivalent, et s’éclate dans ce type d’environnement;

  • Atout : Posséde des connaissances en script;

  • Atout : A livré au moins un (1) titre de jeu.

Your Mission

As a Technical Artist, you will work closely with the artistic team and help identify, suggest and implement solutions for the created content. You will work on performance and memory while ensuring an exemplary experience for players.

To succeed in this position, you must be autonomous, organized, proactive and creative in finding solutions. One of your first tasks will be to familiarize yourself with the pipeline and tools already in place. Collaboration with different departments will be crucial to your outcomes. You will also have a significant impact on the entire artistic team and the mobile project.

To thrive in this role, you must see technical constraints as learning opportunities.

Your objectives

  • Evaluate available technologies and get the most out of them in collaboration with the artists;
  • Ensure that the game elements meet the specifications of the various consoles and mobile devices;
  • Act as a liaison between the studio’s different departments;
  • Contribute to the improvement of the pipeline throughout the project;
  • Work with programmers to ensure that the technology functions well;
  • Be proactive in resolving technical issues, such as performance problems with consoles, mobile devices or the creative pipeline;
  • Detect technical bugs and report them to the appropriate persons.

  • Present an exceptional portfolio that demonstrates technical mastery;
  • Aware of new artistic developments and make a point of trying them out;
  • Flexible and can adapt to any kind of development tool;
  • Accustomed to working with a game engine;
  • Demonstrate passion for helping colleagues achieve results;
  • Knows how to organize his/her time and approach colleagues proactively to identify problems that need to be addressed;
  • Keen to learn new internal tools and are not discouraged by frequent change;
  • Able to look beyond boundaries to find anomalies and make the appropriate corrections;
  • Perk: At least one (1) year of experience in a video game studio or any equivalent, and enjoys this type of environment;
