Nous sommes actuellement à la recherche d'un(e) artiste de capture qui jouera un rôle essentiel en aidant le studio de Montréal à créer des vidéos et des visuels de premier ordre pour promouvoir les différents titres développés localement et bâtir la notoriété de la marque.

Dès le début de votre aventure avec nous, vous serez appelé(e) à :

• Prendre en charge une branche marketing des jeux dans Unity, qui répondra aux demandes marketing, et en assurer la maintenance
• Modifier les éléments du jeu sans avoir un impact sur l'essence du gameplay
• Débugger une version de jeu
• Comprendre rapidement le gameplay
• Créer des caméras virtuelles dans le moteur de jeu et capturer des séquences vidéo pour l'équipe créative
• Construire des scènes et des compositions dans le moteur de jeu pour produire des images marketing
• Rester à l'affût des nouvelles tendances sur le marché et contribuer au développement créatif associé à nos jeux
• Travailler en étroite collaboration avec le marketing, la production et l'équipe vidéo pour fournir tous les éléments nécessaires

Ce poste nécessite de combiner compréhension du flux narratif visuel, habileté technique, résolution créative des problèmes et exécution dans un environnement centré sur l'équipe

We are currently looking for a Capture Artist whose role will be vital to helping the Montreal studio create top-notch videos and visuals promoting the various titles developed locally, and to increasing brand recognition.

From the beginning of your adventure with us, you will be tasked with:

• Leading a game-marketing branch in Unity that is tasked with responding to marketing requests, and ensuring it is properly managed
• Modifying elements within a game without impacting the essence of its gameplay
• Debugging a game version
• Quickly gaining an understanding of gameplay
• Creating virtual cameras within the game engine and capturing video sequences for the creative team
• Putting together scenes and compositions in the game engine to produce marketing images
• Keeping on top of the latest market trends and contributing to the development of creative content for our games
• Working in close collaboration with the marketing, production, and video teams to provide all the necessary elements

This position requires combining an understanding of visual narrative flows with technical skills, creative problem-solving, and execution within a team-based environment:

Qualifications

• Bonne connaissance de Unity (expérience en importation 2D et 3D dans les moteurs et en setup d'animation, avec connaissance de base en scripting et IU); une connaissance en développement sur d'autres plateformes pourrait être un atout
• Connaissance d'autres logiciels tels que : Blender, Adobe Premiere et After FX (3ds Max et Maya sont des atouts importants)
• Polyvalence et capacité d'adaptation à un environnement de travail agile, où la vitesse et l'innovation sont clés
• Capacité d'adaptation à un large spectre de directions artistiques
• Maîtrise de l'anglais ou du français autant à l'oral qu'à l'écrit, un atout (idéalement bilingue)
• Excellent sens des mouvements de caméra, de la composition et du cadrage
• Être conscient de problèmes possibles liés au marketing et savoir comment distiller l'essence d'un jeu pour le représenter visuellement
• Démontrer une approche « essai-erreur » afin de peaufiner les mécaniques de jeu et les captures qui sont faites
• Passion pour les jeux et volonté d'apprendre la manipulation de contenus de moteur de jeu

• Good knowledge of Unity (experience with importing 2D and 3D content into game engines and with animation setups, as well as a basic knowledge of scripting and UI)—an understanding of development on other platforms could be an asset
• Knowledge of other software such as Blender, Adobe Premiere and After Effects (3ds Max and Maya are important assets)
• Versatility and ability to adapt to an Agile working environment where speed and innovation are key
• Ability to adapt to a wide range of art direction types
• Fluency in English or French, written and spoken, is an asset (ideally bilingual)
• Excellent awareness of camera movement, composition, and framing
• Awareness of potential marketing-related problems with know-how related to distilling a game to its essence to better represent it visually
• A tendency to adopt a “trial-and-error” approach when fine-tuning the game mechanics and captures that are created
• A passion for games and a willingness to learn about how to manipulate the content of a game engine
