Ta mission
Réaliser et maintenir l’éclairage de niveaux intérieurs et extérieurs, en utilisant des outils d’éclairage dynamiques et/ou statiques, afin de mettre en valeur une scène ou un personnage,
Tes objectifs
- S’assurer que les livrables d’éclairage sont exécutés en fonction du plan de production ;
- Garder une balance entre la qualité visuelle et les requis de performance ;
- Garder un style artistique cohérent avec le style établi par le directeur artistique ;
- Travailler de pair avec l’artiste de niveau, l'artiste FX et l'équipe de direction artistique pour déterminer la meilleure approche pour résoudre les enjeux d’éclairage ;
- Travailler de pair avec le designer pour s’assurer que l’éclairage bénéficie aux missions, aux objectifs et au rythme du jeu ;
- Travailler de pair avec les programmeurs pour introduire de nouvelles techniques d’éclairage dans l’engin.
Tes objectifs
- 1 an ou plus d’expérience en technique d’éclairage dans le jeu vidéo, le cinéma ou l’équivalent;
- Niveau avancé dans 3DS Max et Photoshop;
- Expérience avec l'éclairage dans un engin de jeu;
- Bonne connaissance des techniques d’éclairage ;
- Bonne connaissances des matériaux et shaders, et une connaissance de leur fonctionnement;
- Intérêt pour le côté technique et l’apprentissage de nouveaux outils;
- Habileté à gérer soi-même son travail avec un minimum de supervision;
- Excellent sens artistique et souci du détail;
- Très bonne compréhension du français et de l’anglais tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit;
- Passion pour le jeu vidéo;
- Connaissance du HDR et de ses applications en éclairage (atout);
- Formation collégiale ou universitaire en art, multimédia, 3D ou l’équivalent (atout).

Your mission
Achieve and maintain lighting of indoor and outdoor levels, using dynamic and/or static lighting tools to enhance a scene or a character.
Your objectives
- Ensure that the lighting deliverables are implemented according to the production plan;
- Keep a balance between visual quality and required performance;
- Maintain an artistic style coherent with the vision established by the art director;
- Work hand in hand with environment/level artists and engineers to determine the best approach to solve lighting issues;
- Collaborate with designers to ensure that lighting contributes to missions, goals and pace of the game;
- Develop new lighting techniques with engineers.
Player profile
- You have at least one (1) year of experience working in a video game studio or the equivalent, and you crave this type of work environment.
- You’ve successfully delivered at least one (1) realistic type game title as a lighting artist with physically based lighting.
- You’re able to present an exceptional portfolio which clearly shows your mastery of the realistic style, materials & shaders, and lighting techniques.
- You‘ve kept up with the latest lighting innovations and you make it your business to try them out.
- You know how important it is to collaborate with engineers, environment/level artists and art directors and you don’t wait for them to come to you.
- You’re familiar with Maya and/or 3DSMax and you’re especially at ease with Photoshop. You know how engines are built and you understand how to get the best out of them in terms of lighting.
- You’re keen to learn how to use new internal tools and you don’t get discouraged when faced with regular change;
- You have a very good knowledge of French and English both spoken and written.
