The Role
As 2D Animator you will be responsible for the development of animation assets. This includes but is not limited to, character animation, in-game 2D effects, 2D animation for promotional material, and user feedback animatable elements. You will also participate in the implementing those animations in production pipeline framework.

Responsibilities

• Understanding of quirky Humor and can bring life to animation using that quirkiness.
• Working with the Art Director, Art Lead, and production team to create and implement 2D character animation assets.
• Excellent understanding of 2D effects animation
• Creating imaginative character concepts that align with the overall vision of the studio and branding.
• Working with the Producer to ensure all established timelines and deliverables are met.
• Participating in art design review meetings and sharing your ideas, feedback, and opinions.
• Continuing to enhance your animation skills by keeping aware of industry trends and techniques, learning new software packages and traditional art methods.
• Maintains or exceeds a consistent level of productivity while meeting deadlines and producing high-quality work.
• Other duties assigned by the team.
  
  

Who fits the bill:

• 4year of related experience creating animation and animation-related art assets on projects.
• Expert level understanding of the Principles of Animation.
• Well versed in Photoshop.
• Adaptable to different software packages ie. maya and/or After Effects is a plus.
• Ability to create seamless animation loops.
• Can animate using rigged characters as well as hand drawn frames
• Excellent understanding of 2D effects animation
• Experience working with approachable art and animation styles.
• Familiar with the game development process is a plus.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating multiple art styles.
• Adaptable/versatile art style and ability to maintain a consistent look across multiple projects.

• Must - Photoshop, FLASH/Animate CC
• Good to have - Maya, 3Ds Max, Spine, Unity
