YOUR MISSION
Work as an Artist and hone the skills that require you to run a capture session. You will help support capture directors with capture sessions, and shoot a second camera on most shoots. In addition, you will help lead the charge on the game engine and editor workflow.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
This role includes but is not limited to the following tasks/duties:
- Your duties will focus on being a second camera on smaller group shoots, writing out shot lists, and taking point on short form social content and other non group capture work.
- Use the proprietary game engine and game editor toolset to create unique and compelling scenarios and cinematic assets for our videos.
- Help with the research and development of new camera tools and capture processes.
- Do some editorial work as required and help to make and manage footage selections.
- Work with various game debug systems and be able to troubleshoot common build & capture issues.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, including builds, PC workstations, dev kits etc.
- Fill in as camera operator, when the lead capture director is unavailable.
- Manage builds and communicate with other teams to troubleshoot issues.
DESIRED skills
- Requires an understanding of cinematography (composition, lighting, camera movement etc…).
- Knowledge of game engine animation and/or camera sequencing tools such as Unreal Sequencer, Unity Cinemachine or other similar proprietary tools.
- Comfortable working in Premiere Pro or other video editing programs.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining professionalism and composure while working under tight deadlines.
- Focused, good listener and able to take constructive criticism.
- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Video game industry or agency game capture experience is a plus.
- A passion for film and other cinematic media.
- College degree in the requisite field or equivalent work experience preferred.
- 2 Years capture experience at a video game company or external agency preferred.
PLUSES
- Passionate gamer on next-gen platforms and PCs, with a focus on Call of Duty/other Activision titles
- Real world experience in cinematography or photography
- Knowledge of game modding or machinima style work
- Basic Familiarity with 3D design programs such as c4D, Maya or Blender
- Understanding of game development, the full cycles and processes behind how a game is made
- Familiarity with the motion capture process
- An interest in virtual production
