The Role @ Red Kite Games
Red Kite has a fantastic opportunity for an Art Manager to join our team. You will be influential in helping our studio develop original and innovative IP, alongside supporting projects across a multitude of platforms, genres, and game areas.
In this role you will be responsible for delivering projects to meticulous creative and commercial standards. You will champion art quality and help to create visually stunning game experiences in collaboration with our multi-disciplined development teams.
In your new role you will:
- Oversee the production and delivery of all Art and Animation across our projects
- Help to create and manage the schedule for Art and Animation
- Be responsible for the management of our internal Art and Animation team, along with managing in-source studio and external Art teams
- Liaise with Production and Art Leads on all art planning and milestone definition processes
- Communicate and prioritise dependencies
- Work closely with the Art Director and Development Director on project resourcing and studio-wide production requirements
- Present best practices to Art teams, critiquing problematic assets and workflows
- Be responsible for the personal development of our Art and Animation teams
- Organise and manage Art documentation, supporting the creation and refinement of Art Bibles, Style Guides, and mood boards with key stakeholders
To be successful you will have:
- Experience of managing Art teams through the complete life cycle of project development
- Ability to organise and supervise creative teams to accomplish their assignments
- Scheduling, budgeting, and outsourcing experience
- Strong knowledge of art content pipelines and asset management
- Broad understanding of contemporary processes and engine technology
- Good verbal, visual and written communication skills
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Previous Discipline Lead experience
