Art Director

Series is searching for an Art Director & Technologist who brings a deep understanding of visual design and the technical skill to bring creative ideas to life with new technologies. You’ll be responsible for shaping the artistic direction of our games, how art gets made, and what players are capable of doing with art in our games.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a strong visual identity for ambitious new games
• Build and manage a team of like-minded artists, and lead by example
• Train custom models to automate the production of 2D and 3D art assets
• Stay abreast of the latest generative art tools and utilize them where appropriate to maximize the team’s productivity
• Collaborate across all disciplines to ensure the art meets the game’s needs, and ensure that the game maximizes its use of the art pipeline’s capabilities
• Work with engineers to make your workflows easily available to other artists across the company
• Pitch ideas to executives to prove viability and secure funding

Requirements

• Shipped multiple 3D titles
• Experience bringing original games to life
• A demonstrable history of mastering new technologies in your workflow
• A history of inspiring and successfully leading others
• Exceptional communication skills
• Deep knowledge of modern 3D art pipelines
• Experience with generative art tools. Ideally, experience building workflows with ComfyUI, a1111, or similar, and experience generating custom LoRAs.
