Application SDK Engineer

Job Description:
As an Application SDK Engineer for Magic Leap’s Lifestream team you will have responsibility for the planning and development of our Application SDK in support of the implementation of our Lifestream business function and how it integrates within our product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and debug application/software issues raised by end users of in house, proprietary software
- Liaise with Engineering team to establish support workflows, monitor support queue for escalated issues, and optimize support platforms for data sharing between Tech Ops and Software Engineering
- Verify and document bugs for tracking and escalation
- Proactively test for potential technical issues that users may face
- Aggregate and provide key customer insights and serve as a liaison between users and software Engineering/ Product Development team
- Work closely with software engineering on special projects as assigned
- Collaborate with the product team on iteration planning , releases , feature request and prioritization
Basic Qualifications:
- Working understanding of web services protocols and superb script writing (e.g., Python, Bash ) skills
- Ability to collaborate across functional teams to achieve desired outcomes
- Excellent analytics, organizational, reasoning, and problem –solving skills
- Ability to interact effectively with customers, especially in requirements gathering
- Knowledge of Linux systems in the areas of security, performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Comfortable working with tight deadlines across multiple projects
- Operates with transparency and integrity, and welcomes feedback
Preferred Skills:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience developing applications or sdk’s
- Experience with MySQL server and Microsoft SQL Server
- Familiarity with virtualized infrastructure environments
- Solid understanding of security/access control, scalability, high availability, and concurrency patterns
- Flexibility and creativity in solution design including leveraging emerging technologies
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, engineering , computer sciences or related discipline, or equivalent experience
