Apex Strategic Growth Analyst (Japan)

The Japan Apex Strategic analyst is part of the Asia Commercial team focused on the enhancement of EA's commercial activities, driving increased users and revenues across all the Japan region. Provide analytics that strengthen EA's market strategy in the Asia region, partnering with EA studios across the Apex franchise.

Responsibilities:

• Identify risks and opportunities across the Apex Legends franchise, increase strategic growth for the Apex brand in Japan
• Provide consolidated tracking capabilities for all Test and learn/growth programs across the market.
• Work with studio to form an understanding of our market's diversity, unique player dichotomy along with any other nuances which are meaningful for strategic growth.
• Work with internal partners to present a structured process that provides Macro market economy, demographics, landscape and competitor tracking within Japan
• The Apex strategic growth analyst will report to the Asia Markets commercial insights team and partner with our teams to improve opportunities and go to market strategies for the Apex franchise.

Data discovery/reporting solutions

• Data mining and development of data to business Symantec layer
• Regulatory BAU reporting, ad-hoc requests and working with our our teams.
• Work with systems to provide marketing attribution (API scraping) to measure the impact of marketing on franchise funnel

• Experience with the Japanese market & audience, cultural nuance how to best reach our players in the region
• Macro-economy and demographics
• Consumer and technology infrastructure and trends
• Competitive landscape, market research

Product Strategy

• IP and genre resonance
• Opportunity sizing by Identifying localization impact and opportunities.
• Benchmark analysis for demand forecasting accuracy improvement

Live Operations market analysis

• Test and learn/growth tracking and analysis.
• Game Performance analytics per emerging market
• Price analysis and ongoing optimization
• Analytical input into the Demand planning process– day/week/month
  
  

Qualifications:

• Experience with live service in GaaS (Games as a service)
• Market expert in the Japan territory, understands the landscape and can provide deep insights into competitors, local nuances.
• Proficiency with data analytics and data visualization tools, such as (Looker, Tableau)
• Experience in automation solutions working with GIT repositories
• Interpreting and ability to query big data create insights into a comprehensive manner for partners to break down.
• Knowledge in the sector with a passion for games and experience in analytics or related fields
• experience in SQL, Big Query & Python with any additional proficiency with programming languages
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related Business management fields
