Job description

Within our R&D Gamelogic team, you will take part in the development of our animation runtime technology.

You will work on different systems:

- You will participate in the improvement and in the extension of our in-house animation engine, also ensuring the implementation and the follow-up in production (Body and Facial FK, procedural animation, IK, compression, motion graphs, motion matching, etc.)

- You will work closely with animators to respond as efficiently as possible to their production issues, but also in order to provide to them clear and manageable constraints.

- You will ensure a technological watch/ technology intelligence: you will pay attention to stay informed of the evolutions of the various techniques of animations, as well as to be able to propose specific evolutions to the needs of our productions.

Required skills

- You have minimum 5 years of significant experience on the topics related to animation, as well as on code with strong constraints (memory, power processor, architecture).

- Perfect command of C /C++

- Solid mathematical knowledge (matrix calculations)

- A previous experience in gameplay will be a plus

- Physics notions (physical simulation, springs) will be a plus too.

- You pay attention to details and make sure to contribute to the scientific rigor of the existing and future code

- Code optimization capabilities

- Knowledge of state machines, Blend tree, will be appreciated, as well as previous experience on the simulation of cloths.

- Knowledge of animation software such as Maya and /or Motion Builder will allow you to move faster

- The assembler is a plus (x86 / PowerPC)

- Finally, having an idea of the constraints of Motion Capture will be an additional asset even if it will not be an obstacle to seize this opportunity.

You have excellent interpersonal skills, team spirit and a keen interest in our projects.

Good level of oral and written English.
