Senior Animation Programmer - Unannounced Project | Programmeur·se d'Animation sénior- Projet non-annoncé

As an Animation Programmer, you will actively participate in the development of an Unannounced AAA game! In this role, you will have to improve animation systems and implement tools to support the animation team.

In this role, you will

• Develop and maintain various game features related to animation such as IK, physics, procedural animation, animation compression;
• Act as the owner of animation system code and communicate around change's possible impacts;
• Write a clear, maintainable and well-documented code as well as intuitive tools for animators to use;
• Debug and optimize code to ensure optimal performance and quality;
• Contribute to defining the animation budget.
• Test carefully the newly implemented features and suggest improvements;
• Work closely with cross-discipline teams including animators, technical artists and gameplay programmers;
• Keep updated on the latest animation technology and share it with the team;
• Follow team best practices such as code reviews.

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience in building real-time animation systems;
• You are really comfortable with programming – especially in C++;
• Strong 3D math background;
• Experience in solving animation and character related problems;
• You have previous experiences with Unreal Engine and/or other proprietary engines;
• You love solving challenging technical problems with the most effective solution;
• You are able to prioritize, plan, organize your work & time and work within deadlines;
• You have a strong interest and a real enthusiasm for video games and the gaming environment we work in;
• You have strong communication and interpersonal skills;
• You are thriving on change and can adapt changing needs and requirements.

Dans ce rôle vous devrez

• Développer et entretenir plusieurs caractéristiques de jeu reliées à l'animation telles que la cinématique inverse, la physique, l’animation de procédure, la compression d’animation;
• Agir en tant que propriétaire du code d’animation du système et communiquer les impacts possibles des changements;
• Rédiger un code clair, facile à maintenir et bien documenté ainsi que des outils intuitifs dédiés à l’usage des animateurs;
• Déboguer et optimiser le code afin d’assurer une qualité et une performance optimale;
• Contribuer à la définition du budget d’animation;
• Tester méticuleusement les caractéristiques nouvellement implantées et suggérer des améliorations;
• Travailler étroitement avec des équipes interdisciplinaires incluant des animateurs, des artistes techniques et des programmeurs·es de gameplay;
• Rester à jour en ce qui a trait aux dernières technologies d’animation et partager ces connaissances avec votre équipe;
• Suivre les meilleures pratiques d’équipe telles que la révision de code.

Ce que nous recherchons:

• Expérience en construction de systèmes d’animation en temps réel;
• Vous êtes confortable avec la programmation - spécialement en C++ ;
• Notions avancées en mathématiques 3D
• Expérience en résolution de problèmes reliés à l’animation et aux personnages;
• Expérience avec Unreal Engine et/ou autres moteurs exclusifs;
• Vous aimez résoudre des problèmes complexes le plus efficacement possible;
• Vous êtes en mesure de prioriser, planifier et organiser votre temps ainsi que votre travail tout en respectant les échéanciers;
• Vous avez un fort intérêt et un enthousiasme réel pour les jeux vidéo et l’environnement de jeu dans lequel nous oeuvrons;
• Vous avez d’excellentes compétences interpersonnelles ainsi qu’une facilité à communiquer;
• Vous aimez le changement et êtes en mesure de vous adapter à des demandes et besoins changeants.

En tant que Programmeur·e en Animation, vous participerez activement au développement d’un jeu AAA qui n’est pas encore annoncé! Dans ce rôle, vous devrez améliorer les systèmes d’animation et mettre en place des outils afin de soutenir l’équipe d’animation.
