Animation Associate Producer - Contract

Rooster Teeth has an exciting new opportunity for an Animation Associate Producer in animation. We are looking to fill a full-time position with an experienced professional who grasps how to create high-quality online animated content. An ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a creative, fast-paced environment, focused on interpreting the creative direction of the brand. This position will be a combination of support for the 3D Producer, Supervising Producer, and Line Producer.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Producer with artist tasking, running meetings and reviews.
- Be the eyes and ears for the Producer in meetings and reviews when they are double booked and can’t attend.
- Helping track numbers across departments for each step of the pipeline. Create spreadsheets for specific strike-teams that are being worked on.
- Assisting in financial reporting activities including invoice coding and approval, receipt capture and storage.
- Assisting in implementation and training on long term, organizational projects.
- Managing the Vendor Database, Production Binder Sharing and Storage, SOP centralization/standardization and tracking headcount.
- Understand, maintain, and execute on motion capture sessions for the animation team.
- Maintain detailed records of what was uploaded when, project-specific status updates and any issues that should arise during production.
- Proactively stay current with new software, asset development processes and industry trends and share this knowledge with the team.
- Help with general production needs as they arise and weigh in on department procedures where applicable.
- Provide, receive, and execute on feedback in a professional manner
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional experience with coordinating 3D animation for CG animated productions or other related fields.
- Must have strong understanding of the art of animation and the pipeline workflows.
- Experience using Autodesk based software, including 3ds Max, Maya, and Shotgun.
- Experience in spreadsheet based software i.e. Excel, Smartsheets or Airtable.
- Some experience in virtual production and or animation in Unreal is a plus.
- Solid organization skills with focus on clean databases and smooth workflows.
- Excellent communication skills, with an ability to self-manage and meet deadlines.
