THE OPPORTUNITY: Market Intelligence Analyst/Senior Analyst
We are looking to fill multiple positions across various level of seniority. As a member of the Market Intelligence team, you will focus on conducting market analysis and developing investment theses. The development of investment themes will translate into participating and potentially leading investment deals that accelerate the growth of NCSOFT overall. You will work closely with our CSO and Corporate Development team in Korea
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Identify investment themes across game, transmedia, and deep technology
- Collect and analyze data, resulting in data-driven approach to identifying and proposing investment themes and ideas through written documentation and verbal presentation to management and stakeholders in Korea
- Source and manage potential investment and/or partnership opportunities with both start ups and established industry players
- Yield critical technology insights from which NCSOFT can develop new products, services, and business models - highlighting promising ways to reposition the business through new platforms and disruptive breakthroughs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
- 2+ years of rigorous experience in data and/or financial analytics
- Experience as sell/buyside financial analyst or data scientist, game data analytics and publishing are welcomed
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex information into concise and digestible manner
- Understanding of recent trends in games, linear/interactive media and deep tech such as AI, Cloud, Web3
- Ability to work independently, but also as a team player
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
- 5+ years in research and market intelligence focused on games, media and/or deep technology sector
- Ability to translate ideas into industry and financial models and run scenario and valuation analyses
- Ability to analyze on both a top-down and bottom-up approach
