Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a research and consumer insights professional who enjoys uncovering the “why” behind consumer purchases and marketplace dynamics. This analyst will support the consumer insights department through a variety of custom research efforts across a range of departments for Blizzard. The position reports to the Sr. Manager, Global Research and Consumer Insights.
Responsibilities
- Support and initiate a variety of custom primary research studies, including questionnaire design, focus group operations managements, analysis of survey results, and managing/directing outside research suppliers
- Address research needs of commercial, marketing, and product management teams to guide data-informed decision-making across the company
- Analyze and prepare research results, translating research data (e.g. survey results) and qualitative insights into presentations and narratives that various teams can both understand and act upon.
- Manage and support research operations (e.g. fieldwork, project management) with outside research suppliers
Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience in consumer/market research and insights either at a research firm or client-side consumer research function in a related area such as entertainment, consumer technology, or media
- Coordinated or led the analysis, design, and/or presentation of custom research in a related area such as entertainment, consumer tech, or media
- Quantitative skills and curious analytical mind, who enjoys uncovering insights and stories within data related to the video game industry
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Pluses
- Advanced degree in psychology, statistics, economics, business, or a related quantitative field
- Experience with survey software packages (e.g. Qualtrics, Alchemer) and visualization packages
- Interest and passion for video games, particularly Blizzard’s games
- Foreign language proficiency
