2K is a leading publisher of today’s most popular gaming genres and most well-known for critically acclaimed game franchises like NBA 2K, WWE 2K, Bioshock, Borderlands, PGA 2K and the beloved Sid Meier’s Civilization.
The Ratings Manager oversees and coordinates the submission of age ratings approvals to all international governing bodies on behalf of every 2K game in development. Aligning with the Age Ratings Supervisor, the Rating Submission Manager ensures that materials being prepped for US ratings boards are also successfully built for all international territories.

You ensure accurate documentation is crafted and delivered on schedule by leading all aspects of and collaborating closely with the team, verifying the appropriate creation of videos, and succinctly demonstrates the features of the game that are relevant to the age ratings boards in each international territory. Ultimately, you are the driving force that ensures 2K’s titles are accurately rated and ready for launch!
OVERVIEW:
*This position is open to candidates based in the US (Las Vegas, NV), Spain and London*
Lead all aspects of the collection, audit, and submit age ratings approvals to all international governing bodies on behalf of every 2K game in development.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leads, trains, and develops age rating team members, providing support as it pertains to personal goals and OKRs
- Provides weekly project reports to management on current status, risk assessments, and potential partner concerns
- Coordinates with key support teams that handle first party compliance and submissions to help maintain project alignment
- Has proficient understanding of age rating boards and their policies. Can use that to identify problematic content which could affect release readiness or rating outcomes
- Keeps key teams informed of age rating guidelines for submissions, as well as the application of logos on all material
- Leads the submissions of age rating approvals across territories where 2K publishes games, including EMEA, Australia and New Zealand
- Establishes and cultivates substantial relationships with key personnel at each of the international ratings boards so that 2K’s submissions are given accurate attention and service
- Prepares invoicing and payments for ratings submissions
- Meets with key customers and leadership on a recurring basis to maintain awareness of project statuses and concerns
- Coordinates with team leadership to maintain a thoroughly detailed delivery schedule of all projects and critical dates
- Delivers ratings board confirmation letters to applicable parties, maintaining oversight on projects after submission to ensure no changes have been made that would invalidate approvals, and ensuring studios have performed vital content audits prior to video game manufacturing
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years confirmed experience in age rating submissions
- Ability to support, develop, and coach to all activities on an age ratings team
- Experience managing people and projects and mitigating or resolving risks
- Demonstrates excellent time and project management skills
- Adept at building relationships throughout an organization
- Highly organized, self-directed, and capable of instilling that characteristic in others
- Digital literacy, specifically MS Word, Outlook, and Database Software
- Reliable and can be counted on to work all scheduled shifts
- Capable of working any overtime, which can occur during the work week, weekends, and occasional holidays
- Ability to sit for long periods of time, move between floors, and occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Has previous experience with AAA titles
- Bilingual in English and another language a plus
