Are you ready to embark on an epic adventure in the realms of multiplayer programming? Join our legendary team, where you will weave the digital fabric that connects players across vast and immersive online worlds. As a virtuoso of arcane networking arts, you will bring life to the intricate interplay of servers, clients, performance, security, and more through the mystical realms of multiplayer online gaming.

In this role you will take a holistic view of the constellation of services and tools that make a secure, scalable, and efficient game possible. You will be a voice for the infrastructure, evangelizing our ‘always online’ studio mindset.

You will quest with engineering and design team members to identify, ideate, and implement solutions, always with an eye on minimizing complexity in the larger universe in which these designs will live and evolve.

You will apply your level 500 artisanal knowledge and experience to level-up your party members while building solutions that are a pleasure to use by players and designers alike.

Who We Are Looking For

You, our ideal candidate, have worked on multiplayer titles before, be it in proprietary systems or with popular industry game engines (such as Unreal Engine 4 or 5). You know all about synchronizing clients to an authoritative state while maintaining performance benchmarks. You have experience researching/selecting the right tools for the job and being able to communicate ‘why’ to the team.

Your skill deck performs best when working together with technical and non-technical guildmates to develop good practices, scope and constraints, and team standards. You will always be endeavoring to improve processes, tools, and workflows to maintain the quality and stability of the work produced across disciplines in a fast-paced environment.

You’re comfortable with C++, knowledgeable with cloud services (along the lines of Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, or similar), and excited about modern languages and technologies.

We are open to remote work from the following states: AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, MD, NC, NY, OR, TX, UT, WA and WI or onsite/hybrid/flex at our office in Bellevue, WA.

Total compensation is salary plus an annual bonus potential . Please note that the listed pay range is a general guideline only. We take into consideration the geography in which you live and your experience and qualifications when determining final salary. This role is also eligible for medical, dental, vision and life insurance, short and long term disability, 401(k), flexible and dependent care spending accounts, PTO, paid holidays and parental leave.

Remote pay range

$150,000 — $219,000 USD
