Technical Director - AI Engineering

The Challenge Ahead:

On the AI Applications team, we explore the use of AI and ML to address problems in every aspect of what we do at EA, including game development, player support, streamlining the business and creating new entertainment experiences. We do this by identifying strategic AI and ML techniques, applying them to the needs of partner teams for measurable results, expanding those applications for broader impact, and supporting the use of AI products across EA. There are countless opportunities to apply AI to video games, and we partner with developers, designers and artists around the company to make AI applications prevalent throughout the company.

We are looking for an Advanced AI Engineer/Architect to join our team with equal parts curiosity and industry, bring both organization and new ideas, help scale up our teams' efforts, and grow our mission.

You will report to the Director of AI Applications and will:

• Support the team's AI and ML work with appropriate tools, platforms and partner teams, including:
• Data acquisition and management
• Model training, testing and optimization
• Model deployment and embedded delivery
• Manage the development and delivery of AI Applications to our clients and integration with existing technologies and workflows.
• Requirements gathering, delivery planning and success metrics
• Testing, optimization and responding to feedback
• Maintenance hand-off and measuring impact
• Support technology for prototyping, demonstrations and presentations of the team's work.
• Work with partners around EA, identify their greatest needs, propose appropriate new AI applications, and work with the team to develop ideas into applications.
• Keep an eye on the latest developments in data science, ML engineering and cloud technologies.
• Mentor other AI Engineers on the team.

Qualifications:

• MS in Computer Science, mathematics or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10 years minimum software development experience in either video games development or AI engineering
• 5 years experience managing/mentoring advanced engineers.
• Experience achieving results documented by shipped applications or publicly available tools, libraries or platforms.
• Experience working with ML tools, large data systems and cloud computing.
