Administrative Assistant - Engineering

Every hero needs support, and if you’re the type of person to thrive as a cleric, or as a bard but actually useful, then we’ve got a role for you. Discord is looking for an Administrative Assistant to support our three Product & Engineering Directors. This is a junior role with an explosive amount of opportunity for different growth paths within the company.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting our three Engineering Directors in their day to day operations
• Reading meeting rooms and take clear, concise notes when needed
• Scheduling external and internal meetings via GMail, GCal, and, of course, Discord!
• Compiling, organizing and submitting all receipts and expense reports
• Collaborating closely with the rest of the Admin Team
• Being present in the office (Monday - Friday) to greet guests, herd cats to meeting rooms, and manage the day-to-day schedules of the Engineering Directors

What you should have

• Extraordinary communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Critical thinking skills to help the directors manage their time in the most efficient and effective manner
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple work activities and projects with strong follow through
• High level of confidentiality, discernment, and judgment

Qualifications

• Local candidates (SF Bay Area) only
• 1+ year’s experience working in a reception, retail, office, or similar environment
• Proficient in G-Suite — particularly GCal and Gmail
