ABOUT THE ROLE
Jam City is on the hunt for an Ad Business Operations Analyst in San Francisco to work on ad monetization (customer lifecycle) initiatives across our portfolio of mobile games. This role will support Jam City’s Ad Monetization Team to provide insight and conduct yield experiments based on ad revenue strategy. The ideal candidate loves playing mobile games and has a knack for performance marketing; they are detail-oriented, curious and motivated to deliver impactful insights.
You will be part of a successful and agile group within Jam City that is looking to continue its tradition of year-over-year growth. The team members are well versed in mobile and online advertising technology and are passionate about uncovering insight that drives value to the business. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Use data to understand player behavior that drives retention, engagement and monetization.
- Create and execute yield optimization strategies to generate the highest return across a variety of ad networks: Facebook, Google AdMob, IronSource, Unity, etc.
- Partner with game studios and analytics teams to define and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) related to ad revenue and engagement (CPM, ARPDAU, etc.).
- Support the forecast process with various business stakeholders.
- Understand game metrics to inform hypotheses and create A/B testing experiments with clear and measurable success criteria.
- Analyze and distill large amounts of data into reporting and data visualizations that clearly communicate business insights.
- Create models, tools and frameworks designed for growth of the ad revenue business.
- Identify and troubleshoot any data discrepancies with data platform team and analytics.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-4 years of experience in a product, data or business analyst role.
- Proven SQL, Excel and data analysis experience.
- Does not miss the fine details; extremely observant.
- Not afraid to explore messy data sets to find answers.
- Creative enough to challenge conventional yield strategies and find the optimal solution.
- BA/BS Degree in marketing or equivalent.
- Ability to use Google Slides to summarize and visualize concepts.
- Excellent communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences.
NICE TO HAVE
- Working knowledge of Python, R or other statistical programming.
- Experience with data tools such as Tableau & Databricks.
- Experience working with F2P games.
