Your Platform

Activision Blizzard is seeking an Activation Specialist accountable for carrying out our growth marketing strategy across the EMEA region, encompassing both customer acquisition and retention marketing. As part the Global Growth Marketing team, we build and drive efficiency and effectiveness through constant optimisation and testing within region.

Based in the UK, at our Soho Office in the cultural heart of London’s West End with a vast array of classic record shop and leading film companies, media offices and phenomenal restaurants. Regent’s Park is close enough for a lunchtime run, as are the delights of Piccadilly Circus and the shopping mecca of Oxford Street. It is conveniently just walking distance from a number of London tube stations and mainline train stations.

Your Mission

Regional media plan creation and delivery

  • An extension of our Global Growth marketing teams, crafting and executing our in-house digital plans (focus on EMEA specific partners and regional priorities).
  • Performance digital media planning, buying and activation across our key digital channels (SEM, Social and YouTube).
  • Performance analysis of our media campaigns and reporting insights and findings to internal partners.
  • Ensuring all campaigns are managed to outstanding standards, utilising all relevant, available and applicable optimisation methods and management approaches to drive maximum performance and impact.
  • Work with our data scientists to understand what does and doesn’t work.
  • Help the Activation Manager develop and implement test & learn programs for the region to improve campaign performance, user conversion, retention, and monetization.
  • Contribution to innovation within own area.
  • Understand the commercial requirements across the franchises, implementing strategies, and facilitating internal understanding.
  • Maintain relationships with key vendors to increase ability for execution and innovation.

Coordinate and handle the activity in collaboration with wider team

  • Working in partnership with our Strategic Planning and Operations team
  • Being in direct contact with our partners (key media vendors and internal contacts including Global HQ) to ensure the flow of media information.
  • Recommendation of guidelines and media processes to improve the performance of our regional campaigns.
  • Ensure high-quality work is delivered both internally and from our external partners.

Analyse our Media actions and propose strategic recommendations:

  • Ensure visibility and integration of our in-house buying and planning to all of our paid media activity.
  • Production of high-quality reports, with refined analysis to support management decision-making.

Player Profile

  • Multiple years' experience in performance digital planning and buying (media agency or in-house). Completing acquisition and testing strategies geared at optimising conversion, subscription, and revenue:
  • C ompetent and seamlessly know their way around platforms
  • D eep experience in activating campaigns
  • Good knowledge of paid search, social and/or programmatic.
  • Experience of collaborating on a broader media plan (how digital works with traditional channels).
  • International media experience is a requirement.
  • A background in owning and handling a budget, forecasting, and delivering on monthly goals of spend, CPA, ROAS, Retention and LTV.
  • Proficient across the latest advertising technologies, including but not limited to: Meta, Snapchat, Twitter, YouTube, Tik Tok and Google Search.
  • Possess a deep understanding of A/B testing and data driven optimisation marketing.
  • You are an analytical problem solver with a track record of success in optimising marketing strategies and programs that drive customer acquisition.
  • Outstanding analytical skills with a proven track record to work through data to finding opportunities insights that are not readily apparent alongside the communication skills to deliver data diverse set of collaborators in a way they will understand.
  • Work collaboratively in a high stakes' environment, with experience working on sophisticated, international, large-scale, time-critical projects.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to lead multiple internal and external collaborators.
  • Detail oriented, ability to balance multiple priorities in an ever evolving environment and meeting crucial, time critical goals.
