Job Description
Responsabilities :
The main and usual functions of this job are:
Payable:
- Oversee the validation and coding of invoices and expense reports
- Ensure compliance with company policies on payments and refunds
- Apply the company's tax policies (GST and QST)
- Develop, implement and evolve accounts payable processes
- Perform the analyses required by management and maintain statistics on the number of transactions processed, exception and errors
- Reconciling vendor statements
- Oversee the processing of deposits and petty cash
- Liaise with the Purchasing Department
- Responding to internal requests and suppliers
- Participate in monthly period closures and provide support during audits
- Supervise, train and evaluate accounts payable technicians
- Participate in the integration of new tools/software in collaboration with dedicated IT teams
- Perform any other related tasks
Qualifications
Relevant experience : A minimum of 5 years.
Other skills:
- Master of the cycle of purchases-account to be paid (requisitions – orders – receipts – payments) and good knowledge of the principles of internal control.Proficiency in oracle/peoplesoft accounts payable module or equivalent (ERP)
- Knowledge of Ivalua software (an asset)Good knowledge of Excel
- Proactive, initiative and judgment
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as a team
- Sense of responsibility
- Main language of work: French
- Be bilingual in French/English in writing
