Your Mission
As a member of the Finance Team at Improbable, you will be central to the company’s ability to deliver timely and accurate financial data spanning multiple countries (UK, US, Canada and Germany).
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be critical to managing key stakeholder relationships, being the first point of contact with suppliers, and business partnering with internal departments. You will be responsible for timely invoices and payments processing, and driving process change to ensure our systems and processes are always best-in-class.
Areas for Impact:
- Ownership of the end-to-end Accounts Payable process for your entities
- Invoice processing, seeking approvals and managing supplier and business queries for your entities
- Prepare weekly payment runs and ad hoc payments
- Support bank reconciliation deadlines by managing payments processing in a timely manner
- Deliver timely and accurate month-end process for your ledgers
- Keep our suppliers happy by paying them within specified payments terms
- Monthly review of aged creditors to ensure aged balances are followed up and cleared
- Support delivery of Accounts Payable projects, like payment automation or Business Payment Practices reporting
We'd like to hear from you if you identify with the following:
- You have one year or more of Accounts Payable experience and are passionate about continuing your career in accounting
- You have a strong understanding of ERP systems (Netsuite preferable but not essential)
- Degree level or equivalent, preferably in Finance
- A proven self-starter with the ability to work independently and use your own initiative, managing your own workload
- A proactive attitude and a desire to continuously improve working practices
- Proven experience of working in a professional team and adhering to strict deadlines
- Excellent Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUP and pivot tables)Passion for great customer service
