Accounts Payable Clerk

This position is responsible for receiving, processing, and verifying invoices related to accounts payables. They also track purchase orders and process payments that come into the company's accounting department from suppliers or partners. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Calculating and posting business transactions, processing invoices, verifying financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records, and providing other clerical support necessary to pay the obligations of the organization.

Responsibilities & Job Duties

• Perform accounts payable functions including verifying invoices data entries, requesting invoices approval, preparing payments at bank and communicating with related parties for payment status, ensuring payments are processed timely and accurately in accordance with company authorization policies
• Process 1099 and W-9 IRS compliance
• Communicate with multiple departments and interpret internal controls, accounting policies and procedures regarding purchase request and accounts payable processes
• Assist in development and implementation of company policies and procedures
• Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments accounted for and properly posted.
• Conduct month-end close activities to support financial statements preparation, including but not limit to preparing journal entries for cash-related entries, accruals, re-class entries etc.
• Administer Concur accounts for 200+ employees, address user requests and issues, process
• Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
• Concur expense reimbursement claim reports and prepare month end accruals when needed
• Manage online accounts for corporate credit card holders and resolve credit card issues
• Assist in coordination of annual audits and quarterly reviews with external auditors

Requirements

• Associate's degree in accounting, Bachelor's preferred, and 2+ years of full cycle accounts payable experience
• Experience working with Oracle EBS and NetSuite is a plus
• Microsoft Office skills
• Detail oriented
• Open to change and willing to learn new skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to follow up on pending issues
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadline
