ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT

At Cloud Imperium Games, our European Finance team is expanding this year and we are currently looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our Manchester studio. The European Finance team is primarily responsible for the accounting functions of the group’s European entities and provides broader support to the group’s global business.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Assistant will be a detail-oriented individual who is confident with the day to day transactional tasks and will be a willing contributor to the exciting projects being managed by the European Finance team.

We’re currently developing Star Citizen, a record-breaking multiplayer online space sim, and Squadron 42, a cinematic single-player adventure set in the same universe. What does an Accounts Assistant at CIG do?

• Processing of transactions for our European operations including invoicing, banking and expenses
• Balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of monthly management information for our German and other European operations
• Assist with the production of operational business performance reporting for the core business disciplines
• Manage accounts payable and perform weekly payment runs, dealing with payment queries and other ad-hoc analysis/projects
• VAT return preparation, submission and communication with the authorities

What do we expect from an Accounts Assistant?

• Commercial experience in a similar role
• Excellent attention to detail is key with high levels of accuracy
• Adaptable, flexible and a strong team player
• Good proficiency with Excel
• Experience with Financial software (QuickBooks and Workday Financials desirable)
