JOB DESCRIPTION:

As an Accounting Manager you will be a key member of Tilting Point’s Finance team. The Accounting Manager will provide financial support by leading various accounting duties, including overseeing the month close process, leading financial audits and managing staff. The ideal candidate will have an All Hands-on-Deck personality and ability to think outside the box.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close to ensure accurate and timely reporting of actual results
  • Perform month end close activities related to reviewing and analyzing balance sheet reconciliations and income statement schedules
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Prepare financial reports for investors and leadership
  • Review and track the actual results vs budget and review of month-over-month variances
  • Review developer and licensor revenue share statements with a high level of accuracy and detail orientation
  • Review customer invoices with a high level of accuracy and detail orientation
  • Lead the year-end financial statement audit
  • Maintain chart of accounts to ensure capturing required visibility for business operations
  • Assist in developing and implementing processes and system improvements
  • Perform technical research and its application to complex accounting situations
  • Efficiently manage the work of the accounting team to achieve reporting deadlines and data accuracy
  • Support the Finance team at large with ad-hoc requests and projects

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 4-6 years of experience in a financial accounting role, managerial experience preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and US GAAP
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Sage Intacct and Concur is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and collaborate in a cross-functional group
