Account Manager - EDU

DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE
Kano is looking for an Account Manager in the Education space to approach distributors and resellers in major markets internationally alongside corporate partners to support the growth of Kano Education. The Education Account Manager would also work with local partners to identify, qualify, and pitch on public tenders. Some of the markets we're already working in are the USA, Canada, UK, Japan, Germany, Australia, and more. This person would be working in these territories alongside an established and respected Kano Education team, as well as working to develop new territories.This role is a new position for Kano, built from major growth.
The role can be either US or UK based and will report directly to the SVP of Business.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- The EDU AM will be responsible for day-to-day management of distribution and reseller accounts in developing territories
- Identification and nurturing of new business opportunities within the Education market in said territories
- This role is responsible for internal reporting and resource management between marketing, sales, EDU, care, to the benefit of their accounts
- This role will monitor inbound sales inquiries and help to qualify and prospect potential new business through email
- This role will work closely with corporate partnerships to execute GTM and company vision in-territory with local representatives
- Kano is a highly diverse and worldwide team, so some early or late calls are to be expected from time to time
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in sales, account management, or similar role
- Experience working in the Education or Technology sector
- Experience working with major VAR and Distribution partners a major plus
- Experience negotiating sales contracts and agreements remotely
- Aptitude in Microsoft Office and Gsuite
- Ability to work with some ambiguity and take project ownership in some cases
- Passion for Education and technology
- Ability to travel up to 35% (when safely possible)
