Technical Animator
Do you play through the same sequence over and over in a game just to break down how the animation is working? Do you cringe when you see an animator repeating the same steps several times manually? Do you sit around and think of exciting ways to improve character performances in games?

We are looking for someone like you to have an impact on how we bring our games to life.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, integration, and iterations of game play animation systems
- Participate in and supervise integration of animation assets into the game engine
- Ensure compliance of animation features within technical, aesthetic, and gameplay constraints
- Research and share knowledge of existing engines and animation packages within the industry
- Communicate, promote, and document animation related processes and best practices
Qualifications
- 3-5 years runtime animation system experience
- Advanced experience working with animation data and how it moves through a runtime pipeline:
- XML/JSON/Python/HVK/GR2/OBJ/FBX/ALEMBIC
- Advanced experience working with motion capture data:
- Motion Builder/Motive/Tracker/etc.
- Understanding of the principles of animation and how they apply to animation/deformation rigs within Maya
- Solid communication skills:
- Able to work with designers, character artists, technical artist, and programmers.
- Self-sufficient and motivated
Bonus Factors- Experience with common scripting languages:
- Experience with runtime animation tools
- Unity, Havok Behavior, Natural Motion, or Proprietary
- Basic knowledge of real-time shaders
