For our exciting new project from Sniper Ghost Warrior franchise we are looking for talented and experienced:
AI Gameplay Programmer
Warsaw or remotely
Key Responsibilities
- Be part of the team that architects and implements gameplay systems for Sniper-based AI gameplay (E.g. Perception/Alert System, Navigation, Cover, Flee & Targeting mechanics)
- Work closely with designers and programmers to prototype and build network replicating, robust systems
- Drive and share best practice across the AI/Gameplay engineering team and other engineering teams
- Help solve AI gameplay engineering problems with elegant and creative solutions
- Fix bugs and issues found by testing the AI
- Prototype and iterate on features and be responsive to constructive feedback
- Setup good testing frameworks within Unreal Engine to ensure realistic memory and CPU targets are met
- Reporting to the Gameplay Lead Engineer, ensure task delays and concerns are communicated early, and requests for extensions are made as early as possible.
- Look for ways to improve the Sniper games’ AI Systems for the existing and future titles in the franchise
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
- Experience building AI systems in an Unreal Engine 4 PC/Console/Mobile game
- 2+ years of experience in an AI/Gameplay Engineering role
- Experience of UE Behavior Trees & Blackboard Systems
- Big plus if part of those 2+ years of experience were spent developing FPS Shooter / Tactical FPS games and Using GAS or similar Plugins
- Familiarity, experience and knowledge using Unreal Engine Blueprints and C++ within a Gameplay framework.
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Proactive, curious and humble mentality, a team player that is not afraid to ask for help when needed
- Comfortable working in a high-growth environment
- Passion for learning and sharing freely with other team members
