3D Character Artist

Triumph Studios is looking for an 3D Character Artist to bolster its creative team. With our team of artists and creative leads, you’ll develop stand-out characters and creatures. You’ll create 3D characters matching the artistic vision and gameplay of our games.
Responsibilities
- Make our character concepts come alive in a 3D vibrant gameworld.
- Create characters for our games, collaborating closely with the art team, but also with game designers and creative leads.
- Craft detailed and readable characters, in different sizes. Their bodies, clothing and equipment.
- Responsible for creating assets from start to finish. This means sculpting, retopologizing, UVing, baking, texturing, weight painting and exporting.
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience creating 3D Art Character Art at a commercial level.
- Mastery of 3D art fundamentals: Anatomy, Composition, Lighting, Material Expression, etc.
- You have a broad range of interests you can tap into: cultures from around the world, sci-fi, fantasy, symbolism.
- Strong creative process: prototyping, detailing, and iterations. Be able to fill in the blanks.
- Expert in Zbrush. Proficient in Maya or similar package.
- Ability to work within technical constraints.
- Ability to adapt to, follow and help develop a variety of artistic styles.
- Ability to translate concepts into great looking characters and creatures.
- Ability to estimate your tasks and collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Articulate in contextualizing decisions, communicating ideas and giving and receiving feedback.
- Comfortable using English in spoken and written form.
- A portfolio that shows your capabilities and process.
Nice to have
- Substance Painter experience.
- Basic understanding of particle creation.
- A passion for the strategy game genre.
