We have created a multi-month program designed for anyone in VFX, Mobile, or Feature Animation industry can join Ubisoft and work on our biggest games.

• Implementing system-based gameplay or AI animations in a game engine.
• Participating in the design and organisation of motion capture shots.
• Establishing gameplay 3C's, Triggering Real-Time Events and Cut Scenes
• Producing top-quality gameplay/AI animation using both Maya & Motion Builder.

About the job

As a 3D animator at Ubi Montreal, you will improve the player's experience by immersing them in a consistent and convincing world.

No matter what you are animating—the protagonist, the antagonist, a creature, an NPC, a crowd member, or a simple object—you are always thinking about the movement's purpose, how the subject behaves, and how this one small part fits into the game. Your animation and ideas will be added to a complex system that will give the player a unique experience. You will help make a piece of art that brings a new and beautiful world to life.

What you'll do

• Participate in animation concept development to help shape gameplay ideas.
• Add animations to the engine while taking full responsibility of your creations.
• Utilise animation state machines to create performances.
• Work along with directors, animators, game designers and programmers
• Work as a team!

Qualifications

Relevant Education and Experience

• Minium 3 years of experience working in the film, television, mobile, or any other comparable industry.

What we are looking for

• FULL Body mechanics on humanoid and fantasy characters
• Strong keyframing ability

Bonus – But we can teach that too!

• Motion capture cleanup experience
• An understanding of video game animation development
• Experience in integrating animations into a 3D engine
