2D Game Art Lead
We’re Ludare Games Group, a game studio, and publisher located in the heart of Downtown Vancouver, Canada. We’re forming a team to create new indie games for PCs and consoles.
We’re looking to add a solid 2D art lead experienced with Unity and its 2D art/animation tools. The team is lean-and-mean. Is this you? Are you ready to collaborate with the team’s game designers, Unity developers, and other artists to build the next great indie game? If the answer is yes, please apply!
Responsibilities:
- Help the game team quickly prototype ideas in Unity.
- Create concept art, mood boards, and preproduction assets to develop a game’s aesthetic vision.
- Create art style guides and workflows for use by the team of artists and animators.
- Work with and manage the art team in creating production assets.
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary game team of designers, Unity developers, and other artists.
- Mentor more junior members of the team.

- Experienced with 2D art tools like Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Experienced managing teams of artists and animators.
- Experienced working on game teams and to a schedule.
- Driven to learn and improve your art and game development skills.
- Respond well to feedback, iterating, and improving your work.
- A problem-solver who doesn’t stop at the first sign of trouble.
- An avid PC and console gamer!
Nice-to-Haves:
- Background in console development.
- Shipped games on PC or console.
- Experienced with 3D game art (modeling, rigging, animation, lighting, etc.).
- Experienced with game design, level design, audio, programming (especially Unity C#), or other non-art areas of game development.
