2D/3D Game Artist - Worlds FRVR Game Studio

FRVR is looking for a talented artist/graphic designer to work on the game “Worlds FRVR”.
Within this role you will be a part of a fun, talented, inclusive and dedicated game studio focused on Worlds FRVR where you together with the game designer will be responsible for all design and graphics related tasks related to the creation, live ops and operations of the standalone Worlds FRVR game along with its integrations with platforms such as Facebook, Yandex, etc. The Worlds team is to a large extent self-organizing and very nimble, where everyone has a big impact on the direction of the game. Core responsibilities:
- Create a consistent and all-encompassing art direction and visual expression for the game.
- Responsible for concepting and creating final art and graphics assets for in-game implementation. The game is 3D and uses low to medium Voxel resolution for the game itself and all assets.
- Develop voxel art: such as characters, Mobs, factories, plants, and items such as beds, boxes, tools etc.
- Create texture work – i.e. the world itself, and potentially other game modes and texture packs.
- Create animations for characters and mobs.
- Create Particle effects.
- Supporting the UI/UX Designer in concepting, developing and optimizing user interface throughout Worlds FRVR.
- You will also occasionally be responsible for supporting marketing related work for the Worlds FRVR game, including creation of promotional videos, store assets, season-based assets.

- A true team player who cares about collaborative culture and ongoing process improvements as part of a cross-functional teams consisting of developers, marketers as well as other creatives.
- You have strong generalist skills in modeling, texturing, lighting, composition and have an online portfolio available that showcases your awesome work.
- You have a passion for games as a product and having an interest in more casual world builder games such as Stardew Valley is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in both oral and written English.
Ideally, your background should include:
- You hold a Bachelor or Master's degree within computer graphics
- 3-4 years of hands-on experience within UI development and graphics as part of a product team setup and ideally have experience from the games industry.
- Community - the Worlds FRVR Game Studio hangs out on Discord with the games community. It’s a plus if you have experience working like this.
In this role, you can either work from our office in Lisbon (January 2022) or remotely in a European timezone.
