12m. FTC Mobile Apps Localisation Specialist - English to German

Position Summary:
The Mobile Apps Localisation Specialist role requires a native speaker of German with proven ability to edit, evaluate and proofread text for mobile game-related material and review its implementation. This is a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract.
The position requires an excellent command of the language of expertise, alongside an eye for detail.
Primary Responsibilities:
For the language of expertise:
- Editing, reviewing and proofreading of mobile game-related material, with a specialisation in mobile app updates (GaaS / Live-Ops).
- Ensuring consistency regarding the use of terminology and style in the language of expertise, as well as compliance to brand guidelines.
- Overseeing the QA process for mobile game-related material and implement changes as needed.
- Collaborating with other languages in order to keep high level of standards and quality across all languages.
- Regular reporting of progress to in-house management.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Native level language skill of German and fluent English language skill.
- Knowledge of local culture for language of expertise.
- Excellent attention for details, ability to understand how different tasks can interact, handling of existing glossaries.
- Proficiency in MS Office Package, especially Excel and Word.
- Ability to learn new processes and software.
- Knowledge of advanced mobile phone usage (command line operations, apk/ipa installation) is a plus.
- Flexibility, ability to multi-task and work under pressure (unpredictable schedules, tight deadlines).
- Good team-player and strong communication skills.
- Passion for video games, preferably for the Pokémon brand. Experience in the industry a strong plus.
- Preferably two years' experience publishing under regular deadlines, and the demonstrated ability to edit, revise, or rewrite in German while handling multiple tasks in an organized manner.
- Degree level education is a plus.
Work Conditions:
- All selected applicants will need to take a 3 to 4-hour aptitude test to measure their skills as part of the interview process.
- TPCi is a standard office work environment. Height adjustable workstations, adjustable chairs and monitor stands are provided for all employees.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required for key initiatives.
