Senior Manager UX Research

We're searching for a Senior UX Research Manager reporting to the Director of UX Strategy and Design, tasked with shaping the experience strategy through research to reduce friction and deepen engagement with our fans. This team – in deep collaboration with colleagues in product management, studio development, marketing, engineering, data science, service delivery, and more – uses human-centered design methods to understand the needs and motivations of our players and bring solutions to life.

You know how to tell a story, help others see the value and purpose in your proposals, and provide others with the tools needed to act. You are not only passionate about UX research but also a culture champion, an advocate, passionate about design for players and employees.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee a team of UX researchers, managing their performance, providing mentorship, and encouraging their professional development.
• Collaborate with the Journey Management leadership team to establish, a journey management practice, identifying customer journeys, and mapping out the user experience across multiple channels and platforms.
• Conduct user experience research, including surveys, interviews, usability testing, and focus groups.
• Analyze data from user interactions to provide insights into user behavior and needs.
• Identify pain points in the user journey and help develop solutions to enhance user satisfaction and achieve our goals.
• Communicate research recommendations to partners in a clear manner, influencing decision-making at the strategic level.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in UX research and journey management, and ensure the team does the same.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and user-centered thinking within the journey management practice and the team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Computer Science, Cognitive Science, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years experience as a UX Researcher or similar role.
• Experience managing a team of researchers.
• Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Proficient in using UX research tools and software.

US COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):
º $161,100 - $239,700 USD Annually
• New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):
º $142,900 - $239,700 USD Annually
• Jersey City, NJ :
º $187,400 - $239,700 USD Annually
• Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):
º $153,100 - $206,200 USD Annually
• Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):
º $142,900 - $230,000 USD Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
